Our goal is to provide spotless results and peace of mind; these terms ensure a professional and transparent relationship between us.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Engagement with Tidyup by Aufrichten—whether through placing an online booking, receiving a service quotation, or confirming a scheduled visit via WhatsApp/Phone—constitutes a binding legal contract under the laws of Kenya. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not utilize our services.
2. Scope of Professional Services
Tidyup by Aufrichten provides structured cleaning solutions in Mombasa and environs, including:
- Residential Home Cleaning & Domestic Chores
- Upholstery & Mattress Steam Cleaning
- Persian & Standard Carpet Cleaning
- Airbnb & Hospitality Turnover Services
- Post-Construction & Deep Cleaning
- Commercial & Office Maintenance
We reserve the right to determine the most effective cleaning methods and may refuse items or environments deemed hazardous or unsuitable for our teams.
3. Service Risks & Fabric Care
Critical Fabric Protection: For curtains, sheers, and delicate upholstery, Tidyup is not liable for natural fabric behaviors such as shrinkage on first wash, color fading due to prior sun exposure, or the deterioration of aged PVC/plastic linings.
While we exercise maximum professional care, services are performed at the owner's risk regarding inherent fabric weaknesses, chemical sensitivities of aged materials, or permanent stains that cannot be removed without damaging the base material.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To help us deliver a "Consider it DONE" experience, customers must:
- Declare high-value items or delicate surfaces prior to cleaning.
- Secure jewelry, cash, and small valuables before the team arrives.
- Provide a safe working environment for our supervised teams.
- Ensure pockets of laundry items are emptied; Tidyup is not liable for undeclared items left within garments.
5. Storage & Uncollected Goods
In cases where items are taken off-site for specialized cleaning (e.g., Persian Carpets):
- Items must be collected or received within 10 days of completion notification.
- After 10 days, items are deemed abandoned and may be disposed of or donated in accordance with the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act (Kenya).
- No compensation shall be provided for abandoned items.
6. Payment & Cancellations
- Cashless Policy: All payments must be made via M-Pesa or Card. Our teams are not authorized to accept cash.
- Advance Payments: Full payment is required upon completion of service or before dispatch of off-site items.
- Cancellations: Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations. Repeated late cancellations may result in a service fee or account suspension.
7. Liability & Claims
Tidyup by Aufrichten is committed to excellence. Should an issue arise:
- All complaints must be reported in writing within 24 hours of service delivery.
- Our liability for proven negligence is capped at a maximum of KES 5,000 per claim.
- We are not liable for indirect losses, emotional distress, or consequential business interruptions.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from our services shall first be handled through internal mediation. If unresolved, the matter shall be referred to a single arbitrator in Nairobi/Mombasa before any court action is initiated.
